This hand-crafted ceramic plate was created exclusively for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, to celebrate the new Hossein Afshar Galleries for Art of the Islamic Worlds. Its hand-painted patterns are classical İslamic motifs which have long been employed in İznik ceramic tile production.
