These mouth-blown tulip shaped glass tumblers in Turkish blue and cobalt were created exclusively by Fy-shan for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, to celebrate the new Hossein Afshar Galleries for Art of the Islamic Worlds. The tumblers are finished with cobalt paste rims, which are heat sealed.
Fy-shan is an Istanbul-based studio that designs and produces limited-edition functional glass art, objects, and lighting. Founded by glass artist Feleksan Onar, the studio's contemporary creations are informed by a wide range of inspirations, including Onar's artistic projects around the world. Each piece reflects Onar's extensive expertise in the glassmaking techniques of blowing, casting, and fusing. The studio employs exquisite craftsmanship to produce timeless pieces destined to become future heirlooms. Fy-shan Glass Studio collaborates internationally with select design brands, architects, interior designers, and design galleries to create special collections and commissions.
