They include celebrated paintings like The Potato Eaters, The Yellow House, The Bedroom and Sunflowers, with informative texts that tell the stories behind the pictures. Besides Van Gogh's own art, there are masterpieces by his friends and contemporaries, such as Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Edouard Manet, Camille Pissarro and Edvard Munch, as well as later artists who were inspired by him.
