Materials: Made of solid brass with carefully selected stainless-spring steel leaves (for rigidity and corrosion resistance). Iris's centering base is made of dark walnut. Iris has a mat made or natural rubber to secure Iris to your surface. The walnut centering tool allows you to position your circle to a given point or can be used as a stand to display your Iris.

About Makers Cabinet

In 2017, three designers left art school with a simple frustration: the tools they used every day were disposable, forgettable, and unworthy of the work they were made for.

So they set out to make something different. Not just better tools, but tools that felt like they belonged in your hand. Objects with enough honesty in their making that you'd want to keep them, repair them, and eventually pass them on.

Makers Cabinet believes the objects around you shape how you think and feel. A well-made tool changes the experience of using it — it slows you down in the right way, makes you more deliberate, more present. There is joy in that. And there is beauty in it too.
