This hand-crafted ceramic plate was created exclusively for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, to celebrate the new Hossein Afshar Galleries for Art of the Islamic Worlds. Its hand-painted patterns are classical İslamic motifs which have long been employed in İznik ceramic tile production.

Topkapi Palace is supported by the Anatolian Cultural Entrepreneurship, which provides funds for protecting, sustaining and publicizing the cultural and historical heritage of Turkey. With support from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, each purchase from Topkapi Palace contributes to cultural heritage and sustains the unique history of Anatolia.
